British pop rock band McFly will perform at the Miss World finals to be held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, on December 13th. The band, formed in London, was founded by Tom Fletcher (lead vocals/guitar) and also consists of Danny Jones (lead vocals/guitar), Dougie Poynter (vocals/bass guitar) and Harry Judd (drums).
McFly appeared in the teen comedy film Just My Luck, starring Lindsay Lohan and Chris Pine, in 2006. The band played themselves in the film and released a US album, “Just My Luck”, which was also used as the film’s soundtrack.
As of September 2008, McFly have fifteen top ten singles, seven of which reached #1 in the UK Singles Chart.
They will perform their current hit single “Lies” during the telecast.
